Around Lake Tisza by bike

The Lake Tisza route is part of EUROVelo 11. international route.
Lake Tisza is an ideal place to ride on bike, since you can rent bike at almost every village. Get a map and discover this wonderful natural area.

Possible routes :
1. Bird route
from Kiskore to Pusztataksony on road, take right before the tisza bridge to the gates of tisza, reach the bird reservation area of Pely. You can watch birds with guide.
From Pely to Tarnaszentmiklos back to road, see ostrich farm of Tarnaszentmiklos. Than go to Kiskore, see the 3d model of the water dam of kiskore, next stop tiszanana-dinnyeshat harbour, see the local farmhosue in Tiszanana with chickens, pigs.- than go to Sarud, puszta birdwatching and look the house of owls. Take a birdwatching tour to the lake tisza at Sarud harbour. Next stop is Ujlorincfalva , the bird observatory tower on the lakeside, through the gates of the tisza river you arrive to Poroszlo, check the promenad of lake tisza with guided birdwatching tour.

2. Kun tour whose are the Kuns?
first stop is Berekfurdo thermal bath, than go to Kunhalom through Zador bridge than arrive to Karcag. Visit the local folklor museum, the local horse farm. From Karcag trainstation you can go back to Berekfurdo.

3. From Hortobagy to Matyoland
Go to Tiszababolna-Negyes-Szentistvan-Mezokovesd route

This route is 34kms long, around 4hours
