Budapest Spring Festival


19 March - 5 April

This is gonna be the 30th Spring Festival Event in Budapest. There are many cultural events, exhibitions, concerts to choose from, which will held in various locations in Budapest.
The National Philharmonic Orchestra will play Beethoven and Bartok, the 30 years old Ballet of Gyor will performe a Stavinskij night. The guest country of 2010 is Denmark. Spring Festival will bring many international stars like Jurij Basmet, Emma Kirby, Michael Chance, Nigel Kennedy, Paco de Lucia. You can see six great opera from hungarian authors, and as a festival in a festival you can enjoy the International Theatre Festival.

Fish, Game, Wine and Palinka Festival in Gardony

Gardony is a small town at Lake Velence only 20mins from Budapest. Lake Velence is the large sweetwater lake near Lake Balaton.
Wine and gastronomy, taste the famous local Palinka. Children playground, horse riding, festival marketplace. The festival makes the opportunity to take a ride around the Lake Velence as well.

By car on M7 highway, By train from Deli station to Szekesfehervar direction. Ticket cost 730HUF on 2nd class

Matyo Easter, Mezokovesd

Mezokovesd is called the capital of 'Matyo' after its unique and local type of folk art. The colourful and rich matyo paintings and clothes can be fonud normally in the museum nowadays, but the eastern bring something back from the past. The 'Hadas' district, the old part of the town with zigzag small streets, and small peasant houses, become live again as there are many things to see and do during the Matyo Easter Festival.

Join our tour, or by car on M3 highway, 150km from Budapest. By train it takes 1:40mins from Keleti station (do not get Intercity as those does not stop, just regular)
