Back to Northern Hungary
Fortress of Fuzer
Fuzer is a quiet little village in the Northern Hills of Hungary. The main characteristics of the site is the castle, perched on top of the hill, overlooking the settlement. It has been well excavated and partly restored, so you can have an authentic feel of the atmosphere of knights in armour and thick stone walls, dim-lit corridors and medieval feasts. There are festivals from time to time to attract tourists and depict the medieval times, with craft-fairs, medieval games and other programs. The hill is quite steep, so if you want to climb up to the castle, make sure you are fit enough to take a straining walk. But the view from above is well worth the strain!
