Access : by car on M3 highway, take Kal exit, then go straight to Feldebro, pass Sirok than Bukkszek. If you come from Eger, take road 26 to Sirok

Bukkszek thermal bath was discovered during the early 20th century, thanks to the search for crude oil in the region. Since there was no such huge amount of oil, but thermal water came up from everywhere. The Bukkszek thermal pool was opened in 1939. Lajos Csonka, who was the head of the so called thermalwater factory, was the one who give name to the thermal water of bukkszek, called Salvus.
Salvus thermal water came from 540meters deep. The chemical effect of the 39-40degree celius hot Salvus curative water is determined by its significant Hydrogen-carbonate, bromide, iodine ion contents.
As news of the medicinal waters spread they were also distributed in bottles as a drinking cure under the Salvus brand. They are beneficial in cases gastric and respiratory disorders, and of diabetes.
