7days in Hungary
If you have seven days that allow many things to see, here're several examples :
Start with Budapest for 2days, third day go to Pannonhalma which is a magnificent benedictine church, winery near Gyor. Than you can finish your day in Sopron, near the Austrian border.

Day4 go through the mountains of Bakony (pass several nice spots) to arrive the uphill of Lake Balaton, check out the porcelain manufacture in Herend and
the city of kings, Veszprem.

Spend the night in Balatonfured which is only 15kms from Veszprem. Next day (day 6) take a boat ride to nearby Tihany penninsula where from catch a ferry to the other side of the lake. From here if you are by car take the road down to Pecs, by train you should have to go back to Budapest to catch a train to Pecs.
Pecs is a beautiful city with memory of the once ottoman empire, surrounded by forest and Pecs is one of the cultural capital of the EU in 2010, so there are many events all year around.
