Nyiregyhaza, is a city only 50kms from Debrecen, in the gate of the Bereg region, on the way to Ukraine. Nyiregyhaza has around 110000 inhabitants.

Sosto, is around 5kms from the downtown of Nyiregyhaza. Here you can find the Sosto Skanzen, which is an open air folk art musuem, displaying houses, crafts, tools, everyday items of old times. You can go into the houses, and see how the tools worked. But you also can see pottery, handcraft artists in work.

How to get to Nyiregyhaza Sosto area?
Sosto (salt lake) area is a recreation place, so you can walk around. Easy to access from the city centre by bus number 8. Bus ticket 200HUF in advance, 250HUF at the driver

How to get to Nyiregyhaza

By train, from Budapest Nyugati train station. Intercity trains available from Bp Check train schedule...
By car, on highway M3 to Miskolc direction direct to Nyiregyhaza. (about 250kms), pls notice that there are payable parking system in nyiregyhaza, you have to buy parking ticket from the machines on the street. Only coins!

Getting around in Nyiregyhaza

Buses available to get around and taxies as well front of the train station. How to get into the downtown on foot? Just get out of the train station, go across the street and turn left. Go till the next traffic light, and turn right. Keep going and end of the street will be in the downtown (15mins walking)
