Northern Hungary offers many kind of outdoor activities for visitors. We collect several of it, if you've been here and took part any other kind, pls let us know

Biking routes

Bike tours in southern borsod county
These routes include Mezokovesd and the surrounding villages, like Bogacs, Cserepvarlja, Tard, down to the Lake Tisza and up to Eger and the Bukk hills.
Biking around Mezokovesd
Sarospatak and Zemplen mountains
These are much harder routes, but the Zemplen wilderness is beautiful all year long. These bike routes are followed to Slovakia and you can cross the border to the Gomor region.

Horse carting

That is a new attraction from 2009. Seven small village in the Bukk Hills introduced the horse cart, which connect the 7 village, not on paved roads, but on forest small roads. It is a unique attraction in Hungary.

Horse riding

There are many opportunity for horse riding in northern Hungary.

Fishing

There are many smaller/larger lakes in the region, the main fishing spot is the Lake Tisza region.

Hunting

Hunting tours usually in the autumn, in Bukk and Zemplen hills. Targets can be wild boars, deers, small birds

Hills hiking, bush walking

Northern Hungary is a perfect place for Hills hiking, Bush walking or Nordic walking. The Bukk, Matra and Zemplen mountains offers you easier and harder routes, 1 day or more days trips.
