Balatonlelle

The sandy beach was made in 2006. With its warm, shallow water and sand on the shore Balaton feels like the best Bahamas. Perfect for families with small kids.

You can build sandcastles, play (on official court) volleyball and football (soccer) as well. There are three pools with a giant slide and sauna as well. Two pools for adults (depth is from 1.2-1.6meters) with jacuzzi, special underwater lights. The third is for children with heatable water (so you can use it on colder days).
The giant slide has 4 tracks.

By train from Budapest Deli station to Zalaegerszeg direction, takes 2:30hrs, cost 2800HUF (one way,2nd class)
By car on highway M7, around 150kms from Budapest

Vonyarcvashegy

Another sandy beach, but on the northern part of Lake Balaton. The beach is sandy, but the other full lawned perfect grass, big shady trees. You can not only swim here but play minigolf or rent waterski, windsurf.
